Rooted in the weaving traditions of Lahaul, this pooja mat is woven on a traditional handloom in a deep, sacred red. Bands of soft pink and white motifs run across its length: the auspicious swastika, stepped temple patterns, and flowing zigzags that echo the mountain ridges of the Himalayas. Each design carries meaning that has been passed down through generations of weavers in the high valleys of Himachal.

The patterns are not printed. They are woven into the fabric thread by thread, which is why a single mat takes days of patient work at the loom. Both ends are finished with hand-knotted red fringes, giving the mat a graceful, traditional look.
